SB Historical Society Foundation Hires Executive Director

The Sturgeon Bay Historical Society Foundation recently hired Michael Telzrow to be the organization’s Executive Director. Most recently, Telzrow was the Executive Director of Heritage Hill State Historical Park in Green Bay. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, he earned his master’s in history from UW-Milwaukee. Telzrow served 8 years in the US Coast Guard before going on to direct the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison and the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay. He served as Curator of History at Green Bay’s Neville Public Museum and was also named an “Everyday Hero” by the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Telzrow says he is honored to join the Sturgeon Bay Historical Society team successfully securing some of the city’s most significant architectural structures, and he looks forward to enhancing the Door County Granary’s civic value through meaningful exhibits and public programs, while also advancing the foundation’s operational capacity and core mission.
