The Sister Bay Advancement Association recently named village resident Ron Kane as their 2022 Sister Bay Volunteer of the Year. Ron has spent over 40 years participating in government and tourism-related efforts in the village.
He has served on the Sister Bay Historical Society’s board of directors and has volunteered at their weekly farmers market. He has been a board member of the Sister Bay Advancement Association while serving several terms as president. Ron is also a member of the Sister Bay Plan Commission and is a staff member at the Sister Bay Visitor Center. He ran the Door County Festival of Fine Arts and has participated in all the festivals and events in the village.
In honor of his many years of service to the Village of Sister Bay, and to the Door community in general, Ron appeared in the 76th Fall Fest parade as the parade marshal. Also, in Ron’s name, the Sister Bay Advancement Association is contributing to Feed & Clothe My People of Door County.
