The investment of $101,000 is being recommended for the repair of the Sturgeon Bay parking structure off North 2nd Avenue. The repairs are needed to stop water from leaking from the top deck onto vehicles on the lower deck. The parking structure was built in 1996. The recommendation calls for the removal and replacement of concrete as well as all backer membrane and caulking. Lift points need repair, connectors need sanding and painting, and, a water based sealer needs to be applied. Bid specs were sent to 13 firms and three responded with bids, ranging from $101,000 to $138,000. The City of Sturgeon Bay has enough money budgeted to cover the low bid provided by American Pavement. The city council is expected to act on the recommendation during its meeting on Tuesday.
