Sturgeon Bay Utilities customers were recently notified with their last bill that the rate for water services will be increasing by about 35% to help the utility keep up with varying rising costs in addition to some system upgrades. General Manager Jim Stawicki shares with us some of those costs…
Some customers might be a little upset with this rate increase, but Stawicki pointed out that there has been no increase in 10 years, and the size of the increase was carefully calculated with help from the public service commission…
Stawicki also pointed out that the water supply is not just for supplying safe drinking water to customers, but it also relates to the city’s public fire protection…
He also informed us that all SBU customers are invited to join a virtual public meeting Tuesday, August 29th. The virtual link information can be found with the notice included in your most recent SBU bill.
