Public Input Needed for Sturgeon Bay Comprehensive Plan Update

The City of Sturgeon Bay is launching two opportunities for the public to provide input on the city’s comprehensive plan update. A community vision workshop is planned for Wednesday, November 20th, from 6-8PM, in the Sturgeon Bay High School commons. The comprehensive plan serves as a blueprint for the short-range and long-range growth, redevelopment, and, preservation of the city over the next 20 years and is used as a policy guide to make decisions. Comprehensive plans address the future of housing, economic development, land use, utilities, natural and cultural resources, and, intergovernmental cooperation.
The city is also releasing a public survey to collect input from members of the public, particularly those unable to attend the visioning workshop. The public survey is intended to determine attitudes on such issues as quality of life, community growth, economic development, housing, and, other key community issues. The survey can be accessed on the city’s website https://www.sturgeonbaywi.org/ beginning November 20th.
