With a little bit of luck, a portion of the former K-Mart building in Sturgeon Bay could be operational later this year. Tractor Supply Company presented a plan to rehab a third of the building at 1833 Egg Harbor Road to the city’s aesthetic design and site plan review board Monday. If the rehabilitation program begins in April, the store could be up and running this summer. Tractor Supply Company, now based in Tennessee, began its life as a mail order tractor parts business in 1938. It opened its first store in Minot, North Dakota a year later and now specializes in livestock and pet products, hardware, clothing, seasonal products, gifts and toys.
