Plan Commission Approves Proposed Madison Avenue Development

The Sturgeon Bay City Plan Commission unanimously approved the final planned unit development for a proposed housing complex at 49 Madison Avenue, the site of the former Harbor Place Shoppes on the city’s west side. The project, proposed by New Urban Focus, Incorporated of Madison, calls for a four story structure featuring a parking garage on the lower level, along with some retail shops, and 36 rental units. According to Kernosky, the developer also would like to see power, telephone and cable wires buried near the property.
