By approving a resolution Tuesday morning, the Door County Board acknowledged that phase one of the Cana Island lighthouse project near Baileys Harbor is substantially completed. The phase of the rehabilitation project at the iconic lighthouse focused on exterior work. In approving the resolution, supervisors also agreed to accept just over $24,000 from the Door County Maritime Museum, along with a grant of $36,869, dollars, and transfer $35,000 from the Cana Island reserve fund to cover the costs incurred during the first phase. About $134,500 remains in the reserve fund.
