A collision between a car and a parked vehicle Friday evening in Sturgeon Bay caused injury and led to the arrest of a Pennsylvania man. Police officers were dispatched to Maple Street at 8:46PM to investigate a two-vehicle accident. They found the vehicles severely damaged on the side of the roadway. After talking with two men in one of the vehicles, they learned that the men were traveling down the street when their car struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. The force of impact pushed the parked car onto the curb and into a nearby tree, knocking it down. After paramedics gave the 43-year old Pennsylvania man a medical checkup, he was taken to Ministry Door County Medical Center for sobriety tests to be administered. When the man refused to do the tests, he was arrested on a felony count of causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, booked and incarcerated at the Door County jail.
