Numerous Power Outages After Overnight Storms

According to Wisconsin Public Service, more than 850 of its customers in Door County reported electrical service disruptions as a result of the storms that blew through the peninsula during the early morning hours Tuesday. The large group of customers, about 580, were located in the utility’s Sturgeon Bay coverage area. Another 144 WPS customers in the Egg Harbor area reported power outages, as did 53 around Fish Creek. In addition, there were a number of calls to the county dispatch center to report trees down, but no calls about major damage and little, if any, flooding as a result of the heavy rainfall.
