New Voting Machines Purchased for Door County

The Door County Board Tuesday agreed to spend just under $262,000 on nearly two dozen voting machines to replace the current voting system which is worn out and at the end of its useful life. The machines, referred to as the Imagecast Evolution Voting System, will be set up in each Door County municipality and the county. It was reasoned that by purchasing the voting machines now, rather than waiting until after the budget process is completed in November, that training on the new machines for municipal clerks, their poll workers and the public could happen well in advance of the first primary election in February.
