This summer and fall, Rich Propsom, Land and Facilities Manager at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay, with the help of volunteers, has created two different trail systems, one for those who ski, the other for multi-use purposes. While there are a few places, like bridges and intersections, where the trails intersect, most of the trails are completely separate. Destination points, such as the council ring, can be reached by either trail system. To accommodate other trail users, existing foot trails have been enhanced and a number of new trails have been cut through a variety of woodland habitats. These new trails are both beautiful and wind sheltered. The trail expansion was funded, in part, with a grant from Door County Medical Center. Crossroads at Big Creek is located at 2041 Michigan Street, just east of Highway 42/57 in Sturgeon Bay.
