South Neenah Avenue in Sturgeon Bay will be closed between East Maple Street and Highway 42/57 until early December. During this time, American Transmission Company will be blocking off the center of the roadway to create room to construct the conduits needed to complete their transmission line beneath the ship channel. During this time it will turn portions of Neenah Avenue into one-way alleys intended for use only by those who live directly within the closed area.
For your safety and the safety of the crews working on these conduits, you are strongly encouraged to take this road closure very seriously. Sturgeon Bay City Engineer Chad Shefchik says this will also be good practice for next spring when they start the asphalt replacement in this same area.
