With so much emphasis on a proposed hotel on Sturgeon Bay’s west side waterfront, it’s possible to lose sight that efforts are on-going with regard to other segments of Sturgeon Bay’s west side development. Case in point, City Community Development Director, Marty Olejniczak, spent time with a Madison developer Thursday talking about a project that could be built on the Harbor Place parcel, site of a fire last year. Olejniczak says the developer is trying to gauge if the project is viable…
Olejniczak says even though the developer will meet with the Waterfront Redevelopment Authority on Monday, there’s a ways to go before the idea becomes a reality…
Speaking of the Waterfront Redevelopment Authority, the committee is also expected to look into requests for proposals from individuals interested in developing the old grain elevator and engaging a consultant to consider the possibility of relocating tugboats. That meeting at city hall begins at 2PM Monday.
