More good news from an industry in the Sturgeon Bay industrial park. Recently, Cadence, Incorporated purchased a parcel in the industrial park with plans to build a 62,000 square foot plant. Now comes word that Therma-Tron-X also has expansion plans in the works. In fact, the city council Tuesday will act on a request to sell property to the local firm to meet its office and manufacturing needs. In a letter to City Administrator Steve McNeil dated May 21st, Roger Kinnard, Therma-Tron-X Vice-President for Finance, indicated that the company is seeking to acquire another three acres of land to meet its needs. Kinnard noted that currently a ten thousand square foot office expansion and renovation is being completed at an estimated cost of $900,000. The expansion will accommodate the 20 full-time employees hired this year. The planned 24,000 square foot south plant addition comes with an estimated cost of $1.8 million for manufacturing needs. An additional 20 to 25 full-time jobs would be the outgrowth of the new construction.
