Meeting to Discuss Housing Issues in Door County Thursday

There’s no doubt that housing is at a premium in many parts of Door County. The Door County Economic Development Corporation would like to hear residents’ opinions on countywide housing problems and has scheduled an open meeting to consider perspectives on those challenges. The public comment meeting will be held on Thursday, May 3rd, from 5 to 7PM, at the Kress Pavilion Great Hall in Egg Harbor. The organization based in Sturgeon Bay has been working on a study that focuses on understanding and developing ideas for housing in Door County: attainable, workforce and senior housing. The goal of the study is to transform the information into hard numbers and provide ideas to help Door County municipalities work with businesses, residents and potential development related to the housing shortage.
