The Maritime Lighthouse Tower project capital campaign in Sturgeon Bay received a significant boost with the recent decision of the George Kress Foundation in Green Bay to contribute one million dollars to the fund drive. The pledge will help the Maritime Museum on Sturgeon Bay’s west side waterfront expand its facility with the construction of a ten story tower, offering ten stories of creative, interactive education displays, and, convenient accessibility. The tower will also feature indoor and outdoor observation decks atop the lighthouse-like structure.

Perlman says the race to build the Maritime Lighthouse Tower is at a point where the finish line is not far away…
More than just an attraction, Perlman believes the tower will provide a high level educational experience that would be difficult for many museums to achieve.
