Maritime Tower Project Fundraising Nearing Completion

Real progress is being made in the effort to construct a large tower at the Door County Maritime Museum property on Sturgeon Bay’s west side waterfront. The $5.5 million project calls for the construction of a lighthouse-like structure that will provide space for additional exhibits and offer a panoramic view of the waterfront. Maritime Museum Executive Director Kevin Osgood says the tower project will also enhance the current museum facility…

Osgood says design work will play a key role in the development of the tower’s exhibits, creating a space that could have a lasting impact on those who use it…

Osgood says the tower effort is moving toward a groundbreaking ceremony at the west side site in the spring of 2019.
