Maritime Museum & Door County North Receive JEM Grants

Stephanie Klett, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, was in Sturgeon Bay Thursday to hand out grant funding to a couple of local marketing efforts through the Joint Effort Marketing grant program. The Door County Maritime Museum received a check for $20,000 to promote the opening of the new Sea Dogs exhibit in May. Door County North was given $17,200 to help advertise its new event Uncork Summer, on June 27th. Door County has received the state tourism grants in the past and Klett says that track record is reflective of the creative tourism effort on display here…


The Door County Maritime Museum will be honoring man’s best friend with its new exhibit featuring canine companions on nautical journeys. Door County North will be kicking off the summer season with a festival featuring a taste of Door County, along with the products of local wineries and breweries.
