The Maple/Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 8AM to 4PM next week, Monday through Thursday. The Green Bay office of the Department of Transportation says the bridge will continue to be open to marine traffic at all times. The daily closures are for planned maintenance to replace various shims under the bridge deck which are showing signs of rust and corrosion. Detour signs will direct motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians to use the Michigan Street Bridge to cross the Sturgeon Bay shipping channel. The Bayview Bridge is another alternate route motorists could consider. All work is weather dependent.
