Maple Street Re-Opens in Sturgeon Bay

The segment of Maple Street in Sturgeon Bay which has been under construction since June 10th is once again open to traffic. The barricades were removed at 1PM Wednesday afternoon. The reconstruction project has included the removal of asphalt, the replacement of water main and sanitary sewer, the installation of sewer and water laterals, the removal of gutter and sidewalk and their replacement, and, the installation of a new concrete road base. Since the beginning of the project, a detour has been set up and the left turn arrow at the traffic signals at Maple and Madison has been turned off. However, the traffic flow is now back to what is normally seen on the segment of Maple Street from Madison to Neenah.
