A listening session on the proposed changes for the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension in Door County will be held in Green Bay Thursday. Proponents of the changes say a three million dollar budget shortfall is prompting the changes which could lead to lost jobs and the implementation of regional programming. County board members and other county partners from Door and Manitowoc Counties have been invited to meet with the co-sponsors of the reorganization, Cooperative Extension Dean and Director Rick Klemme, UW Extension Provost and Vice-Chancellor Aaron Brower, and UW Extension and UW Colleges Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Steve Wildeck. The meeting will be held at the Brown County Extension office, 1150 Bellevue Street, Green Bay. The session is by invitation only.
