As the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation continues its search for a new Executive Director, the board of directors has chosen an Interim Director. Kim Larson, a member of the organization’s executive committee has been tabbed to fill the position. Larson has experience ranging from branding & marketing campaigns, launching new initiatives, as well as working with startups in several sectors. She and her husband have businesses in Algoma & Kewaunee, Clay on Steele, & the Barnsite Retreat & Events Center. Larson’s primary focus will be to lead the search for a permanent Executive Director with a background in economic & community development.
The Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation also announced that it has brought in Bill Chaudoir, former Executive Director of the Door County Economic Development Corporation as a consultant. Chaudoir will work with the organization in the hiring process, & help to develop a long term strategy for economic development. He retired from the Door County Economic Development Corporation in 2016 after leading it since 1989. He returned on an interim basis earlier this year until Jim Schuessler was named as the new Executive Director.
