K9 Team Brought in to Assist in Search for Missing Doctor

The Door County Sheriff’s Department has brought in a team from Headwaters Search and Rescue K9 to assist in the search for Doctor Jeffrey Whiteside, who has been missing since Monday, June 29. Structured searches will be conducted Friday and Saturday. Members of the team will be wearing lanyards displaying their credentials during the search. Headwaters search and rescue is a Wisconsin based non-profit volunteer organization that provides trained personnel and dogs to law enforcement to assist in missing persons cases. The group specializes in wilderness, wooded and semi-urban settings. All members of the team have received national accredited training.
