A $1.04 million road project at the intersection of Highway 57 and County C, in southern Door County, is scheduled to get underway on Monday. The installation of a J-turn, is intended to provide for safer turns along the busy highway. Peters Construction Company of Green Bay is the prime contractor. The J-turn does not allow left turns and through movements from County C. Highway 57 will remain open to traffic, but it may be reduced to one lane both ways during construction. County C will remain open. The completion date is in October of this year.
