The Industry and Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, will be handed out Thursday when the Door County Economic Development Corporation holds its annual investors meeting and luncheon. The event will be held at 12 noon at the Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay. Time will also be set aside for Wellness Works Awards, and an update on the organization’s accomplishments during the previous year. Dan Ariens, President and CEO of the Ariens Company of Brillion, will be the keynote speaker. Ariens will comment on “Growing a Workforce in Rural Wisconsin.” The great-grandson of company founder Henry Ariens, he joined the Ariens Company in 1983 and became President and CEO in 1998. Ariens says he defines his leadership by a set of five core values, be fair, be honest, respect the individual, keep commitments and encourage intellectual curiosity.
