Last week we heard from local DNR Conservation Warden Chris Kratcha about upcoming options for hunter safety courses. Now Kratcha has informed us that there will be an opportunity for two different sessions to fulfill the field day requirement, both on Saturday August 1st. First, a student must register with a certified internet field-day instructor and then complete the online training before attending the field day. Then you must pass the online coursework with a score of 80% or higher to obtain a field-day voucher, and then you should be ready for one of those two sessions on August 1st at the Door County Rod and Gun Club near Sturgeon Bay. The early session will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the later session is from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. For general information about the online course and field day sessions, you can go online to “dnr.wi.gov” and search “safety education”.
