WI State Parks Capacity Limits Increase
With the big holiday weekend coming up, the Wisconsin DNR recently announced that outdoor capacities for events, activities, and outdoor facilities such as group campgrounds, open-air shelters, and amphitheaters is increasing at properties across the state park system. Friday April 30th was supposed to be the opening of the new Eagle Tower in Peninsula State Park. Potawatomi Park Northern Trails Closed
The Wisconsin DNR has announced some temporary trail closures to the northern half of Potawatomi State Park’s trail system, effective immediately. This is due to logging operations underway to improve safety for visitors and the health of the park’s ecosystem. Egg Harbor and Sister Bay Apply for Urban Green Space Grants
In a recent press release from the Wisconsin DNR, it says 2 Door County villages recently applied for a 50% matching “Urban Green Space” grant from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. Both villages of Egg Harbor and Sister Bay hope to use these grants to assist in purchasing available waterfront properties.
