Local DNR Warden Resop Honored for Exemplary Service

The Wisconsin DNR announced its 2023 award recipients for exemplary public service from the Division of Public Safety and Resource Protection Tuesday. Marine Conservation Warden Jordan Resop serves both Door and Kewaunee counties, and he has been named the 2023 Boating Officer of the Year. Warden Resop has worked in law enforcement since 2015 and has been part of the local marine warden team since 2017. He is assigned to cover this area of Lake Michigan and its tributaries, and he also assists with land-based responsibilities. As a year-round station manager and top-notch boat operator, he is a highly sought-after trainer noted for his customer service and community involvement. In the interest of public safety, he is also currently working locally to install 3 loaner life jacket kiosks.
Warden Resop was selected for this award from peer nominations by the division’s management team.
