The Door County Granary Restoration Project continues with more work behind the scenes as they are reworking schedules now with their recent $3.3 million federal grant assistance announced in December. As their work behind the scenes continues, there will also be a special presentation Thursday at Sturgeon Bay’s Third Avenue Playworks. Historian Larry Desotell will give a lecture titled “How Grain Elevators Transformed America” at 7PM…
The doors will open at 6:30PM with a complimentary dessert bar, coffee, and tea, with beer and wine will be available for purchase. The lecture will be followed by a question & answer session with the audience. This is free and open to the public, but of course donations will be accepted to help further fund the granary restoration project.
