Fundraising for Handicapped Accessible Fishing Pier Complete

The Friends of Potawatomi State Park says fundraising for its handicapped accessible fishing pier is complete. With support from the State of Wisconsin and the help of the DNR, $320,000 has been committed to the project. The Natural Resources Board recognized the community’s contribution at its August board meeting and the park’s friends group was presented a recognition plaque by DNR Secretary Nominee Preston Coles. The DNR will now join the board of directors of the Friends of Potawatomi State Park in beginning the process of reviewing final bids and selecting a contractor for the project.
