Fundraising for Egg Harbor Library & Community Center Nearing Goal

An important milestone in the effort to fund a new library and community center in Egg Harbor has been reached. Judy Ortiz, a member of the campaign leadership team for the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, says, as of Tuesday, more than $5.5 million has been raised. To be exact, $5,506,823 of the six million dollar goal has been contributed. Ortiz says with the continued support of the community, the hope is that the campaign will be completed and construction started soon. The Kress Pavilion will not only offer a state of the art library and business center, it also has an upper level event space for meetings, conferences, library activities, children’s programs, movie nights, card clubs and family and business gatherings. The Kress Pavilion will also have a kitchen in the upper level which would be used for children’s and adult activities.
