The Wisconsin Building Commission Wednesday voted to approve funding for infrastructure improvements at Peninsula State Park near Fish Creek. The funding will pay for updates and replacement of outdated facilities throughout the park. Heavy use of the the facilities due to high traffic volumes has left some of the sites in dire need of repairs and upkeep. Such things as broken drinking fountains and restroom facilities will be improved as part of the infrastructure projects at the popular tourism destination.
