A Sturgeon Bay man accused of several sex-related crimes entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of child pornography in federal court Friday. Steven Link, a former bookstore owner in downtown Sturgeon Bay, appeared before Judge William Griesbach in U.S. District Court in Green Bay. The 37-year old city man had been accused of receiving and distributing child pornography and possessing child pornography in connection with an arrest made in September. At that time, investigators revealed that Link had also illegally taped people using the bathroom at his store. Link’s plea arrangement avoided a jury trial scheduled for this month. His sentence agreement also included provisions that preclude him from appealing his sentence and that he must give up his computer equipment. The city man could be sentenced to as much as ten years in federal prison.
