Traffic over and under the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be affected by the completion of a project this week. The Department of Transportation says pedestrian traffic will also be impacted by the work on Tuesday and Wednesday. The task at hand involves finishing work as part of the recently completed rehabilitation project on the nearly 40-year old span. Crews will add an epoxy overlay and patch areas of the sidewalk across the bridge. For vehicles wanting to cross the bridge, there will be periodic flagging operations, as needed, during the day. That could lead to some delays. Pedestrians will be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7AM to 5PM. The Ahnapee State Trail across the bridge will also be closed both days. Marine traffic that requires a bridge opening must provide at least three hours advance notice. Boats that can pass underneath the bridge without an opening will not be restricted.
