A fiber cut somewhere in the coverage area of Southwest Bell is being blamed for a problem with phones at government offices in Door County Monday. City and county workers could call out, but incoming calls were blocked. The 911 emergency calling system was not affected by the glitch. At first, it was thought that the phone problem was centered in an AT&T router system. Later, it was determined that the problem originated with Southwest Bell. Phone service was restored shortly before 7PM Monday.
