Door County Represented on Dairy Task Force 2.0

A Door County woman is one of the members of the Wisconsin Dairy Task Force 2.0 announced by Governor Scott Walker Wednesday at Farm Technology Days in Marshfield. Moriah Brey of Brey Cycle Farm, is one of the group representing farmers on the committee. Other committee-members are milk processors and marketers or come from allied organizations. The Dairy Task Force 2.0 will focus on making recommendations on actions needed to maintain a viable and profitable dairy industry in the state. The original Dairy Task Force, comprised of 31 members, was created in 1985. Over 14 months,the group worked on putting together a plan intended to maintain the state’s dairy industry. The outgrowth was an 82 page plan with 75 recommendations, many of which were implemented over time.
