Door County Men Arrested on Gun & Drug Charges in Ozaukee County

Two Door County men, who were arrested last week in Ozaukee County, face multiple gun and drug charges. Willard Hartman and Benjamin Krohn, both 19 and both from Sturgeon Bay, made initial appearances in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Monday on charges related to possessing firearms on school property, carrying concealed weapons, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Their next court date is March 6th. According to the court complaint and published reports, the vehicle driven by Hartman was pulled over by a police officer for making an illegal U-turn. The officer smelled marijuana in the car and, during a search, recovered a duffle bag and backpack containing three assault rifles and two handguns, all fully loaded, marijuana and oxycodone. The two were at Homestead High School Saturday to watch a friend play basketball. Krohn reportedly indicated that the guns were his and were brought along in the event that he decided to trade or sell them to someone.
