On Memorial May, Monday, brief ceremonies will be held at Bayside Cemetery at 8:30AM, St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 9AM, Sturgeon Bay Health Services at 9:30AM, and the main ceremony at 10AM at the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department.
The Peninsula Symphonic Band will play throughout the ceremony at the fire department. All are welcome to attend, but please bring a lawn chair if you are arriving close to the starting time of 10AM, as seating is limited.
In northern Door County, American Legion post 527 will have a ceremony at the Little Sister Cemetery at 10:30AM. The Gibraltar High School Band will play patriotic music before the ceremony, which includes the posting of the colors, the national anthem, an invocation, guest speaker State Senator Andre Jacque, a list of veterans names, and closing ceremonies including the playing of taps by Charlie Eckhardt.
