Door County Distillery has announced that it is expanding its distillery operations at 5806 Highway 42 in Carlsville. In order to do so, the firm’s restaurant, “Bistro 42” will be permanently closed after ten years in business. The expansion will include a second still and barrel storage area with viewing windows and a full bar for sampling spirits. New products are anticipated in 2016 including a rye whiskey and a bourbon to complete a trio with the already produced single malt whiskey. Door County Distillery has been in operation for five years and the addition will allow it to triple capacity in order to keep up with demand for their products. Construction is scheduled to start this winter and be completed during the summer.
