Door County Distillery’s single malt whiskey was recently awarded a double gold medal by “The Fifty Best,” which rates the finest in wines and spirits. A panel of judges blind-tasted the single malt whiskeys submitted and rated them individually on a one to five point scoring system. The Door County Distillery’s sample received five out five points and the double gold rating for its notes of caramel, honey, vanilla and oak. Door County Distillery is currently undergoing an expansion intended to triple capacity. The increased demand is attributed to the rise in popularity of local and craft spirits and inclusion of Door County Distillery products at Lambeau Field.
