Decisions on moving the process along for two major building projects were put on hold during the meeting of the Door County board Tuesday. Supervisors decided to take a step back and postponed action on moving to phase three of both the Human Services/Resource Center and Central Ambulance Station projects. For instance, phase three for the ambulance garage project would have included design development, development of construction documents, competitive bidding, and, action on the awarding of a contract with authorization to proceed. There are indications that requirements established by the board at its last meeting had not been met in both cases. Now, it’s possible other options could be considered while the process is on hold.
