The 2016 Armed Forces Day Breakfast will be held from 7 to 11AM Saturday in the Corpus Christi Parish Social Hall in Sturgeon Bay. Scott McFarlane, Door County Veterans Service Officer, says the breakfast is the main fundraiser for the Door County Veterans Council which is composed of the commanders of the local veterans organizations. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event go towards helping needy veterans in the county. For an investment of $8 at the door, you’ll enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, sausage links, pancakes, donuts, Door County cherry topping and maple syrup, coffee, milk and orange juice. Tickets are $8 at the door or available from any member of a county veterans group. Additional donations are appreciated. Matching donations will be provided by Thrivent Financial.
