Dealing With High Water in Sturgeon Bay

With water levels at or near record highs over the last year, flooding and other issues have impacted numerous communities in the area. Sturgeon Bay City Engineer Chad Shefchik says while Sturgeon Bay has had issues in some areas of the city, for the most part there have not been major problems. While that may be the case for now, Shefchik says preparations are being made to monitor how water levels can impact critical infrastructure…

The city has also been battling erosion at several areas according to Shefchik…

The city is also examining redesigning the layout of the beach area at Otumba Park. The hope with the shoreline improvements in the city is to maintain city property and prevent costly damage in the future.
