DCMM Adds Osgood & Perlman to Management Team

There’s been a change at the top of the Door County Maritime Museum’s management structure with two additions to its core team. The organization’s new Executive Director is Kevin Osgood. Osgood has been joined by Sam Perlman who will hold the position of Deputy Director and Development Manager. Osgood most recently was News Director for WFRV TV in Green Bay. Perlman was Director of Business Development for Renard’s Cheese and, prior to that, spent 13 years as Economic Development Manager for the Door County Economic Development Corporation. Osgood grew up on the water in New England and participated in the maritime industry in the Boston area at his parent’s boatyard. He learned to sail in Florida and spent time in the US Navy on a guided missile destroyer. Osgood’s career in television took him around the country as a reporter, anchor and, ultimately, a news director. Perlman’s track record goes well beyond the jobs he’s held locally. He is well-known as a member of multiple boards of directors, a family selection committee for Habitat for Humanity, past president of the alumni council at his alma mater, Grinnell College, and a member of its board of trustees. Board Chairman Bill Harder said the hiring of Osgood and Perlman comes at a time when the Door County Maritime Museum is in the midst of an important stage of its development, including the effort to build a new maritime lighthouse tower in Sturgeon Bay.
