DCEDC Selects Schuessler as New Executive Director

The Door County Economic Development Corporation has announced that its board of directors has selected Jim Schuessler as its next Executive Director. Schuessler was chosen following a search throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states. He will replace Caleb Frostman who left the position to run for political office. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin/Platteville, Schuessler spent two decades in television before moving into the economic development arena. During two decades in television, he rose through the ranks to become president of a company with $400 million in revenues. Upon the sale of the television company, Schuessler, his wife, Karla, and family moved to Wisconsin. He served as Executive Director of the Forest County Economic Development Partnership and, most recently, was Business Development Manager for the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation. Schuessler will assume his new duties on July 16th.
