DCEDC Seeking Workforce Development Project Manager

The Door County Economic Development Corporation is looking to help connect local employers with prospective new employees. To do that, the organization based in Sturgeon Bay is seeking a Workforce Development Project Manager. Executive Director Jim Schuessler says companies have been indicating that they’re having difficulty expanding locally due to the lack of workforce. Schuessler says the position merges the great alignment already available with the area’s school districts with programming that includes Inspire Door County, the High School Home Construction Project, and, Manufacturing Days. He says outreach is also needed beyond Door County to connect people with great careers in a family-friendly setting. With unemployment low and jobs available, Door County is a perfect place to grow careers in several areas. Schuessler says a project manager will help attract the needed workforce for today, as well as nurture professional careers of the future.
