DC Public Health Vaccine Update

We’ve received a recent update from Door County Public Health on our county COVID vaccination efforts. Our vaccination rate is still slightly ahead of the state average. According to the Wisconsin DHS, Door County has provided the first doses to approximately 25.7% of our population and 61.6% of those 65 or older. Wisconsin is currently providing vaccine for K-12 education staff and childcare staff in the form of special allocations. Public Health will begin receiving the allocations and vaccinating this group next week. Once they have received confirmation of this allotment, scheduling for this group will begin. Groups now added to the eligible priority list include some public-facing essential workers such as 911 operators, public transit, and grocery store/convenience store employees (not including restaurant staff), non-frontline essential healthcare personnel, and facility staff and residents of congregate living settings. If you are in one of these groups and would like to receive the vaccine, you can get on the wait list by registering online at “dcphwaitlist.Timetap.com”, or you can call 920-746-7180.
