DC Public Health Update & Sister Bay Vaccine Clinic

Door County hHealth and Human Services Director Joseph Krebsbach has informed us that currently 57% of Door County residents have now gotten at least their first dose of covid vaccine. At both the Door County Medical Center and the Public Health vaccination clinics they have noticed a recent decrease in demand for the vaccine, and they are adjusting their requests for vaccine from the state and adjusting their clinic schedule accordingly. Door County Public Health currently has the Pfizer vaccine and they are still scheduling appointments through this week. The recent pause in use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may have caused concern for some, but both vaccines currently available, Pfizer and Moderna, have been shown to be safe and effective. Next week, in addition to the Sturgeon Bay clinic, Public Health is now planning a Sister Bay vaccination clinic at the Sister Bay Fire Station on Thursday April 29th. Appointments are now being schedule for between 3:00 and 4:00 pm next Thursday. If demand calls for it, they will expand those hours of the Sister Bay clinic. To schedule an apointment for your 1st dose of covid vaccine, you can go online to “bookdcph.timetap.com”, or you can call Public Health at 920-746-7180. There is no charge for your vaccination. They do ask for any insurance information, and no ID Is required when you come in for vaccination.
