Work to replace a drainage structure in Lily Bay Creek will get underway Monday on a section of County P, about a quarter mile east of Mathey Road. Door County Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej says County P will be closed to through traffic between Mathey Road and North Country View Road during the installation of the new drainage structure which is expected to be completed in about two working days. Final pavement repairs will be completed in October to allow settlement of the excavation to occur. Work crews began moving in equipment and materials to the project site Thursday. Meanwhile, a detour will move drivers along Mathey Road, West Whitefish Bay Road, and North Country View Road. All motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area and obey all detour signs. Questions may be directed to Door County Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej at 746-2500.
